The blessed event and conception of Idle Hands took place in the early weeks of December 1998 in the back-seat of a Saturn at the local Claremont, California Denny's. Three members from the hardcore punk band Suburban Empire and ex-singer from the early leagues of Emo-core band COPPER, thought that a new direction and sound was well needed in their music careers. A clean and fun mix between West Coast hardcore-punk with East Coast melodic-driving vocals, gave birth to a fast and fresh new sound and energy.

Lyrics:

All night I lie alone, embrace the cold, the darkest shadow
You'll never be good enough
You're just a failure to us
Take a good look at yourself
Where will you go?

I know that this is not a place where I can live and grow and call my home
I don't ever want to be unknown
I won't become your average, no

I walk away, I don't have to stay
I can find another way to get up
I can find another way to get out of here

Tonight I'll make a pact that I will be among the last to let my home take away my control
Leave me standing all alone
And I will stand on my own two feet
With all I have, all I can be
And I'll shine brighter than all of you, and I'll go on
