Over 16 million, or one-quarter, of U.S. school children do not have access to the school supplies they need.
Idea Public Schools addressed this as part of the Backpacks for Bright Futures Initiative, giving away 1000 backpacks loaded with pens, pencils, markers, notebooks and measuring tools on Saturday.
