I have wanted to write a parody about Zephyr Breeze and Rainbow Dash ever since Zeph was introduced as a character simply because he tries so hard to impress Rainbow, but she has none of it. It's a strange take on a love song, but I heard "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight" recently on the radio and the tune has been stuck in my head. The lyrics just vomited out onto a piece of receipt tape down at the Easy Scan. I then came home and terribly sang and recorded and crappily edited this steaming pile of... well, whatever this can be considered. That took about an hour, so coupled with 2 or 3 hours of writing lyrics while trying to also run 4 self scan registers, this may be my fastest production of a parody yet.
This song is pretty high pitched originally, so I had to drop it an octave to be able to sing it without going falsetto. Sadly, dropping the octave makes my voice not sound very much like Zephyr Breeze, but... whatchagondo? Anyways, it's like 2 AM and I must already be crazy to have actually made this piece of garbage, but I feel as though I should probably sleep.
The original song, "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight", is a soft rock love song written in 1976 by Parker McGee and sung by the pair of John Ford Coley and the late "England" Dan Seals. I do not own the rights to this song and I am not claiming that I do. I have simply used the tune in a work of parody for fun. I will never make money off of this video. If there are ads playing on it, that is simply to satisfy the record label who will surely catch this on copyright. Additionally, I do not own, nor do I claim ownership of the franchise My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. That is owned by Hasbro. Please go buy their stuff. They make things like nerf guns, board games, and other toys.
