Returning to Broadwater Farm Estate, in North London, where he spent his childhood and teenage years; Headie One talks about love, loss and his journey so far surrounded by his closest friends who have accompanied his journey from the start - telling i-D, “I like to hope that my music can motivate people to make changes in their personal life, no matter what they’re dealing with, some sort of motivation to come out of it and take positive steps forwards. To be able to take a drastic U-turn on what’s expected of people who come from places like [Broadwater Farm] – not just myself, but for everyone”.
