The main research interests of the Kleij group are in the area of CO2 valorization catalysis, the development of new reactivity using organic carbonates as modular precursors towards new engineering and circular polymers and fine chemicals, and the use of functional heterocycles towards challenging stereoselective transformations. The overarching approach is using sustainable approximations combined with selective catalysis as a tool to enable selective synthesis.
