This is a demonstration of what my team has been working on in the past quarter of college. 2 weeks of concept art and 9 weeks of creating it in Unity. The basic concept is that after an accident with protagonist Allen falling into a nuclear reactor; all of the employees vanish not knowing what would happen. Years later as the building is falling apart, Allen fuses with the reactor's chemicals and materializes into an ice marble from the condensation along a pipe. Now the main character has to find his way back to the core and retrieve his body.
Since Allen is now a marble of ice, he can be manipulated by the environment in many ways that ice would be, such as melting into a puddle of water; this allows him to jump higher and access new areas that his marble form could not. However, being water disables the ability to activate switches and break barriers. Throughout the game there will be many ways to change Allen's form and interact with the environment.
