In my last video, I talked about how much I liked the Milwaukee M18 Fuel drill with my Strikemaster Lazer 8" hang auger bit. The adapter was the weak link though. I decided to do a DIY adapter based on the Kovac II Icemaster adapter, since I couldn't find it in stock anywhere.
I bought a stainless steel adapter from Vendetta Precision on Amazon ( amzn.to/2EgQSmY ) and a 3" disk made of Delrin loaded with PTFE on Mcmaster Carr. Attaching a single bungee over the side handle of the Milwaukee drill completed the setup.
Now I can drill holes for ice fishing with peace of mind knowing that if the bit does accidentally unchuck, I won't lose it to the bottom of the lake. And I don't need those unsightly floats anymore.
