Minister for Rural and Economic Development Joseph Lelang says price regulatory laws have recently been amended, allowing the Independent Consumer and Competition Commission (ICCC) to take stronger action against retailers, wholesalers and other businesses that abuse their position in the marketplace through unreasonable price gouging and other unfair practices.
