The IB Day event in Ghana was held on 10 May 2024 and leading to this, event started with IB Director General Olli-Pekka Heinonen and Chair of the IB Board of Governors, Dr Helen Drennen AM, leading a delegation to meet with Ghana’s Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and visits to two exemplary schools. On 10 May, we gathered at SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College with over 250 educators and learners from both IB and non-IB schools across Africa. We hosted 13 diverse sessions tailored to different audiences, ranging from specific programs for authorized or candidate IB schools, to an orientation for schools new to the IB journey.
We left inspired, connected and more equipped to navigate the future of education in Ghana. Here’s to more enriching gatherings and continued growth in our educational landscapes!
