Ian Moss and Mark Seymour are two undisputed superstars of Aussie rock who have earned icon status for both their esteemed solo careers as well as their work with legendary bands Cold Chisel and Hunters & Collectors respectively. Both will feature in a very special lineup on Friday September 26 as part of the Night At The Barracks series at North Head in Manly, Sydney.
Respected as one of Australia’s iconic musicians, Ian Moss delivers an unforgettable sound – not only as a telling soloist on guitar but especially with his silken voice, ringing with clarity and resonating with pure soul. While primarily recognised as an axeman of unusual tenacity and sweet melodic sensibility, Ian’s distinctive vocal is the essential signature of his soulful, bluesy muse – as it has been since his first tentative foray into music during the early 1970s.
Ian and his band will be performing a selection of his most loved solo songs as well as some classics from the Chisel catalogue.
Ahead of Ian Moss’s gig with Mark Seymour at Night At The Barracks, Manly on September 26, the Australian guitar legend spoke with Australian Musician editor Greg Phillips about the upcoming North Head gig, his stage preparation, gear, Cold Chisel and much more.
