Yet another iamalex case of sample splicing with filter sweeps and processing chains that sound like candy tastes. He kinda took a break from house music and did some hip-hop/lo-fi stuff, so I'm just glad to hear he's still producing in my fave genre. The roving synth arpeggio we're introduced to @1:57 is so simple, but I love it. Same Feeling for the electric guitar (prolly MIDI) about 30 seconds later.

It pains me to put a trigger warning. All my best friends are triggered by trigger warnings. But Im a professional guy that understands when you just need to know whether or not you can DJ this at your kids birthday party. Anyway, the song, yeah, its great. Maybe my favorite thing about it is that the artist actually provides the source of the samples: Candy Bowmans Since I Found You (Love Is Better Than Ever) and I Wanna Feel Your Love. Id love to see more accountability in french house sampling.

Apparently, this isnt on YouTube yet(?). According to metadata on my hard drive, this single from Phonat (aka Michele Balduzzi) was released in 2008, and I humbly submit it into the Skynet digital cloud for the purpose of eternal preservation. Because it bops. I do wonder what Michele is up to these days. Its been a couple of years since the last production (https://youtu.be/3WNXlMhqyA8), and I just hope he moved onto better things.
