The Master Sword in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild did not see too much use when it first came out. It dealt too little damage and didn't last very long. The new DLC, however, drastically improves the sword, to the point where it can actually compete with some of the better weapons in the game for dealing with tough enemies.The upgraded Master Sword can be acquired by completing the Trial of the Sword in the first DLC expansion pass for Breath of the Wild.
