A #WebMidi editor for old #Yamaha XG #synthesizers, explained Floyd Steinberg 2024-06-23 | Thanks to ELECROW for providing the screen used in this project elecrow.com/elecrow-7-9-inch-long-strip-display-400-1280-ips-touch-screen-portable-monitor-kit.html?idd=5 - Yamaha's XG devices can do a lot of #synthesizer stuff you never expected them to do - because, for some reason, their UI never gives you full access to the synth engine. Their MIDI CC / NPRN / SYSEX implementation, however, does. So I started writing a HTML5 / WebMidi based touch optimized editor for those old boxes mainly to make this video. Yamaha MU15 demo Floyd Steinberg 2024-06-14 | The MU15 is a battery powered XG / GM module from 1998. I recorded this demo in three stereo tracks, one after the other, on my ZOOM R20. There's an amp sim from the R20 applied to the lead sound and a compressor on the master track, other than that, no additional external effects. #Bluetooth #MIDI device not found in #windows11 : how to solve this problem Floyd Steinberg 2024-02-14 | Here's what to do when your bluetooth midi device does not show up in the windows 11 bluetooth device manager or bluetooth device discovery does not work: 1) right click the small bluetooth icon in the bottom of the screen2) click "add a bluetooth device"3) scroll down and change "bluetooth devices discovery" to "advanced"4) scroll up and click "add device" - it should now find your MIDI device.This had me stumped for quite some time, so I hope this is helpful for someone out there :-)
