This is a pretty Country song played from my heart. The front neck on my D-10 Sho-Bud guitar is tuned to E9th. I use a standard Nashville setup, with the exception of raising string one a whole tone from F# to G# with my Right Knee Right (RKR) lever. You can hear the nice change it provides in this song. I always raise the first string a whole tone. Lloyd Green raises it a half-tone, as does Stu Basore. Lloyd does a forward bar slant if he needs a whole tone.
For the past week I thought I had accidentally messed up one of the settings in my JVC camcorder, because the video is moving while recording. In the video you'll notice that the camera seems to follow my hands, but it's actually the old guitar legs flexing in the guitar body, moving the entire guitar when I press the pedals, especially the ABC pedals for the E9th tuning (like in this song). I need to get a carpet to keep the legs from moving on the tile floor that I have. The rubber feet don't hold well. I'll see if that helps.
Last week I moved the change that lowers string 2 from D# to C# from the RKR over to the RKL instead, because the knee requires more tension to move. On a double-neck guitar, it's more difficult to move the RKR with the right tip of your knee. It's much easier with the thigh (inner right leg) to move the RKL.
On this guitar, I lower my E's (4th and 8th string) with the LKR, which works best for me I think (as oppossed to lowering the E's previously with the RKL). I only have 4 knees on this guitar. I raise my E's with the LKL.
I'm using original factory stock pickups. My amp is a Peavey Nashville 112. BOSS DD-3 (set to 800 ms long delay). I hope you like it.
