Hidden within this ancient burial ground lies a church site dating back to the 6th century. Among the weathered graves, I discovered incredible hand-carved symbols including skull & crossbones, coffins, and other haunting reminders of death carved directly into the stone.
Some of the oldest surviving graves date back to 1677, and many of the carvings are still visible after centuries of exposure.
