Singer Emmanuella had just finished a gig in London when a group of men approached her in the street.
At first, she thought they’d mistaken her for someone else — but their intentions were a lot more sinister.
“They tripped me and shoved my face into the gutter and started shoving snow and garbage in my face until I couldn't breathe,” she said.
She says the experience of the attempted robbery, which left her wrist broken and teeth damaged, has made her take more precautions in public spaces.
