I used to obsess over the perfect journaling app, template, and system in apps like Day One, Obsidian, and Notion, but eventually realized journaling isn’t about creating the perfect archive for future-you. It’s about thinking clearly in the present moment.
I’ll walk through the mindset shift that made daily journaling easier and more meaningful, along with my current voice journaling workflow using AI, voice notes, and Day One.
