I played the Waste The Fallen alpha for around four hours, and it wasn’t quite what I expected.
Across roughly six matches, I personally never encountered another enemy player—even though other testers apparently did. Most of my experience became looting, fighting AI enemies, and taking down some surprisingly difficult bosses.
There are definitely things I liked. The character creator, enemy designs, build customization, hideout system, weapons, and overall art direction all show potential. However, the gunplay needs more impact, the heavy fog was frustrating, the maps felt small, and the gameplay became repetitive relatively quickly.
This is not a full review or my final verdict. It’s simply an honest first impression based on the limited time I had with an unfinished alpha build. Waste The Fallen has some decent bones, but it still needs more time in the kitchen.
