Today Iām Metal detecting the wedge in Newport Beach. After spending the previous day on the other side of the harbor and watching the waves break over the jetty, I figured it would be worth checking out although when I got there, I quickly realized that what I had hoped for did not come true, and the beach was very sanded in. Even though that was a bit discouraging, I decided to go for the long haul and walk from the wedge to the Balboa here and back and actually managed to get a little bit more targets than I expected. It was another nice day on the beach, but still left me scratching my head asking where are all the summer fresh drops?
