My car was having starting up issues because the post and terminals were corroded from battery acid leak. After I used this product, my car's starting problems went away. The bubbly foam suds has cleaning action it works in 3 minutes cleaning the deposits away from the surface of posts and terminals. Works great I highly recommend. Johnsen's Battery Cleaner with Acid Indicator. Indicator changes from yellow to pink upon acid contact. Removes corrosion. Reduces voltage leaks. Neutralizes acid spills. Johnson's Battery Cleaner is a quick acting, quick neutralizing, penetrating cleaner that dissolves corrosion and neutralizes acid. Product will change from yellow to pink to indicate location of acid. Can be safely sprayed onto battery. If battery case is damaged, do not apply product. Directions:
1. Shake well before use.
2. Remove battery terminals from post on battery.
3. Spray terminals, post, and any area where corrosion is seen. (product will change from yellow to pink to show where acid is being neutralized.)
4. Wait 3-5 minutes to allow product to fully neutralize acid.
5. Re-apply, if necessary.
6. Rinse with water. (Do not allow product to splash onto other surfaces.)
7. Allow to air dry. Replace terminals. (For a complete maintenance service on battery, use Johnsen's Battery Terminal Protector.)
