When I found a kids' scooter and a golf bag dolly both being discarded, I knew they were meant for each other. I had a bad experience of trying to use my old kick scooter during my first week of college, and falling off of it at least once a day because the tiny wheels could not overcome slight deviations in the sidewalk. Adding 12.5" wheels would sure fix this problem! For additional safety and comfort, I welded an extension to make the handlebars higher. Even with all the modifications, the folding mechanism still functions for ease of storing and carrying on the bus or train.
