Counter cards were once small advertising displays placed on shop counters to catch a customer's attention. I’ve fallen in love with bringing this little piece of retail history into my paper crafting—and in this project, the counter cards become part of the actual mini book.

Whitaker’s Pharmacy is part of my vintage destination series and takes us back to a neighborhood corner drug store in 1926. The collection was inspired by the everyday experience of visiting an old-fashioned pharmacy—from the prescription counter and greeting cards to the soda fountain, penny candy, magazines, and community bulletin board.
And this time, we’re not just looking at the pretty papers.
We’re cutting them up, layering them, and making something with them!
That’s what junk journaling is all about.
