Since my Camp Nanowrimo project got off to a slow start, I decided to spice things up with a challenge - writing at 6am every day for 7 days.
How did it work? I set my alarm at 5:45am and needed to be on my computer, ready to write, at 6am no matter what. Then, once I was writing, I aimed for 60 minutes of productive writing time that session (so time spent writing, outlining, brainstorming, etc. NOT Google-ing!).
How did it go? Well, I discovered that when I set an alarm at 5:45am, I'm usually up by 4:30am-ish, which isn't ideal. But I wrote more, hit my time target for Camp Nano, and discovered that it was nice to get to the end of the day and not have my writing hanging over my head.
I am very relieved to be turning off my alarm, though!
