Sony doesn't let you use a PS4 controller for PS5 games natively, which makes local co-op tough if you've only got one DualSense. I tested the QRD BLACKPILL, a wireless adapter that converts PS4 controllers — including Hall Effect ones — to work with PS5 games, to see if it actually solves the problem.

The BLACKPILL connects over Bluetooth 5.3 and works as a native adapter for PS4 and PS5 controllers, including QRD's own Spark N5 and Maestro S3. It also supports custom button mapping, turbo firing on the main buttons, and programmable macros. It doubles as a general Bluetooth 5.3 USB adapter for PC if you want to use it beyond the PS5.
