Switching IDEs is never smooth — today I gave Zed an honest try as a VS Code replacement for managing WinUtil's GitHub workflow. We fought with Git trust issues on Windows, discovered LazyGit and GH Dash as terminal-based PR tools, reviewed and merged several WinUtil PRs (power plan fix, new preset system, advanced tweaks tab), and had a real talk about where AI coding tools actually stand in 2026.
