For years I've made fake Halloween candles just about every way imaginable—PVC pipe, toilet paper rolls, hot glue, silicone molds, resin casts...but this might be the most realistic method I've tried yet.
In this video, I create custom dripping candles using real wax, then use the Revopoint POP 4 3D scanner to digitize them and turn them into durable, weather-resistant 3D printed props. After a little acetone smoothing, paint, and an LED flicker flame, the finished candles look right at home in a haunted cemetery display or Halloween haunt.
