I bought a $100 junkyard Toyota Prius that was literally headed for the crusher — and instead of fixing it up or babying it, I did the one thing everyone said would finish it off:
I drove it 3,700 miles.

No shortcuts.
No special prep.
No “Prius math.”

Just real highway miles, cheap gas, unexpected problems, and a test nobody in their right mind would try with a $100 car.

People love to say “Priuses run forever.”
I wanted to see what that actually looks like in the real world — with a car this cheap, this worn out, and this ignored.

Did it survive?
Did it cost me more than it was worth?
And would I trust one again after this?
