I’ve been fighting the same problem in my game room for years — too much light coming through the window and washing out the projector during the day.
So I installed a set of Bringnox smart blackout blinds to see if they could actually solve the problem.
In this video I go through the full installation, test the optional side rails, solar charging, Matter-over-Thread integration, Alexa voice control, and most importantly, see how much of a difference they make for daytime projector viewing.
I also set up an Alexa routine that can transform the entire room with one command — lowering the blinds, turning off the lights, powering on the projector, and raising the screen.
They weren’t completely perfect, but the final result surprised me.
