Well, this is a Bard/UnnamedWife video, because... Bard. I just adore Bard's relationship with his kids and his motivations come from wanting to protect them, not out of want of gold or power so I imagine his relationship with his wife was quite lovely, and that he sees her in their kids
I named Bard's wife Ingrid (reason below) and she's played by Gemma Arterton.

I like (that's the wrong word, but anyway) the idea that she died in childbirth, but it wasn't unexpected so both she and Bard, and maybe Sigrid, knew that she wouldn't survive.
I gave her the name Ingrid. Reason being; people of Laketown seem to have names derived from Norwegian and Swedish origin, and since Tolkien likes very similar names for his related characters, I figured Bard's wife would have a name similar to her daughters since Bain was probably named for Bard. I really like Ingrid, which means "Beautiful" and very similar to Sigrid, which also means "Beautiful".
Is there like a rule in Middle Earth that all Mothers have to be dead or missing, because SERIOUSLY! Apart from Galadriel who is Arewn's Grandmother, there is not one mother in the movies who is around and hardly any who are even mentioned. I understand you learn more in the books, but really, where are they?
