REAL PYE COMPRESSOR vs WAVES KRAMER PIE || Robot lemon studio / Access Analog Hardware vs plugins
F Reid Shippen's very own analog pye limiter is available to stream lossless via access analog matrix. Waves audio plugins normally dont fare that well in analog vs plugin tests but just wait till you hear what waves audio kramer pie compressor sounds like at 96k and also how it captures the dual mono effect by utilsing 2 instances of ddmf metaplugin. Ever wondered what the kramer pie compressor on vocals sounds like.. does it get get that classic explosive drum room sound?
I was going to include acustica audio viridian 2 in the shootout as they sampled a pie compressor but after checking it out in ddmf plugin doctor & hammerstein I could see that it lacked the THD needed to really recreate the saturation and character of the hardware. and also in the daw I knew that it just didnt have that stereotypical pye compressor sound.

In terms of my audio interface I record and monitor through my audient id44 and use an audio technica AT2050 for all of my voice overs.
