After testing every type of mixer head I could find, the conclusion I reached was that the design didn't matter that much compared to how you used it.

To avoid adding unwanted air to a mixture, the most important things are getting appropriately sized container so you get a decent depth, and positioning the mixer off center and at an angle.

I was mixing up a bunch of glazes today and it reminded me of this topic. I've just got into the habit of it, so it's essentially automatic now, but it's worth playing around with to find what works best for you!
