Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Pokémon per Route; Species Clause!
3. Nickname Pokémon
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader (level caps are hard-coded into the game)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode
Randomizer Settings:
1. All Pokemon randomized based on power level (via BST)
2. All level-up learnsets are randomized (each Pokemon learns 7 STAB attacks, 7 Non-STAB attacks, and 7 Status Moves)
3. All abilities are randomized (abilities such as Arena Trap, Huge Power, and Wonder Guard that are excluded from Smogon's Almost Any Ability format are banned)
Nuzlocke Invitational Tournament Ruleset:
1. Team's are determined by the Pokemon brought to the Hall of Fame (specifically, at the start of the Champion Fight)
2. VGC Bo3 Double Battles
3. Double Elimination Tournament
4. No dynamax
5. No EVs
6. IVs, Nature, Gender, etc. are identical to the in-game Pokémon
