After 5 months of sweat, dedication and hard work, my pal Scott from Beyond Expeditions (instagram.com/beyondexpeditionssg/) has finally built Singapore's FIRST ever Mongolian yurt/ger experience! It was such a tough project to begin with - from fixing up a very broken yurt structure, to making sure this can withstand Singapore's humid climate and importing Mongolian exclusive items.

However, this is more than just a glamping experience - you get to build your own shelter, start your own fire, be a lumberjack, cook dinner and have a wonderful cuppa masalai chai. The price can be a little steep for some, but the amount value that Scott provides is so much more and I've seen it with my own eyes.

For a brief moment in time, I truly felt free during my time spent alone.
