In this fifth episode of Vintage Living in the Modern World series, I'm exploring the idea of slow travel and how people experienced travel in the past. From wandering through neighborhood markets and discovering hidden attractions to staying in family-run guesthouses, documenting your journey, and leaving room for the unexpected, these are some of the simple ideas that have completely changed the way my husband and I travel.
This isn't about giving up modern conveniences or spending months crossing the Atlantic on an ocean liner. It's about traveling more intentionally, experiencing local culture, and creating memories that last long after the trip is over.
