I sneaked a fake and ridiculous product into IKEA to see if the employees would ever even catch on to it, not to mention the shoppers!

We started off by designing and building the fake product, this being a coffee table in the shape of the letter Q. The joke being that a table with a massive hole in the middle is totally useless!
We then sneaked the table into an IKEA store to assemble it and put it amongst the real products to get the attention of shoppers, who all found the table interesting but totally useless, as expected!
After that, we went and confronted IKEA staff to see if they actually knew this wasn’t their product, and their reaction was both surprising as well as delightful!
