This one almost didn’t make it.

I started with a solid tab of Blueberry Dover chert, working toward a clean point… and then it snapped. Clean in half. The kind of break that usually ends the project right there.

Instead of tossing it, I kept going.

In this video, I take the larger half and try to bring it back—reshaping, adjusting, and working around the damage to see if it can still become something worth keeping. What it turns into surprised me.

Sometimes flintknapping doesn’t go how you plan—but that’s part of it.
