I’ve been working on a project with Intel and was invited to come and see a cutting edge production of Shakespeare’s play The Tempest using performance capture technology to render an animated character - Ariel the sprite - live on the Royal Shakespeare Theatre stage in real time.

The project was a collaboration between Intel, the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) and Andy Serkis’ Imaginarium Studios. Find out about the tech behind the play here:
