In this video I show my solar powered home server setup that has been running 24/7 for months. I recently switched the system to run completely on solar power, and I break down exactly how much electricity the server uses and how the whole setup works.
The server averages around 43 watts and peaks around 55 watts under load, which makes it possible to power it using a small solar setup. I walk through all the components including the battery, charge controller, inverter, and the solar panels powering everything.
