Today I’m restoring something truly insane: a 115-year-old Bonetti electrostatic machine capable of generating half a million volts. Yes… 500,000 volts guys. By hand. 😉
I’ve been obsessed with high-voltage machines since I was 13, when I built my first Van de Graaff generator out of a rubber band and a Coke can. But a few months ago, I found something even crazier: an original early-1900s Bonetti machine in terrible condition… and I knew I had to bring it back to life.
And now… it works again.
