See what happens when I try to remote play Resident Evil 2 (PS4) onto my Playstation Vita.
As stated by Sony Entertainment, remote play requires that you have a PS Vita system and a "sufficiently robust" Wi-Fi connection.
I also recommend you connect your Playstation 4 console to the internet with a Lan Cable instead of Wi-Fi. In my experience I've gotten the PS Vita to sync with the PS4 much better this way.
All gameplay footage you see is a direct capture of Resident Evil 2 running on the Playstation 4 streaming to the Playstation Vita.
Step by step instructions on how to set up Remote Play on the PS Vita.
1. Click on "PS4 Link" bubble on PS Vita
2. Click on bottom right corner with 3 dots, click on "Settings", click on "Restore Settings" then click, "Restore".
Then click on "x" at top left corner to go back to previous screen.
3. Click on "Remote Play" and click on "Skip". It will now ask you to register the PS4 system with a code.
4. Go on to your PS4. Go to "Settings", then scroll down and select, "Remote Play Connection Settings".
5. On the next screen make sure, "Enable Remote Play" and "Connect Directly with PS Vita/PS TV" are both checked.
6. Click on "Add Device".
7. You will be presented with an 8 digit code which you will enter into your PS Vita system. This code allows the PS Vita to sync with the Playstation 4 console.
8. Once you have entered that code into your PS Vita, select the "Register" button on bottom right of PS Vita screen.
9. Welcome to Remote Play. Enjoy!
The Playstation Vita is home to a bunch of great games, indie, Japanese titles, first party as well a third party. I hope this video helps in educating and perhaps even convincing you to pick up a Playstation Vita in the not too distant future :)
I have many other Playstation Vita related videos on my channel as well. Check them out!
