In this video I descend technical canyons within Grand Canyon National Park to explore terrain that is seldom visited and connect the route using the Colorado River. The National Park allows backpackers to use a small number of river miles using the River Assisted Backcountry Travel program. Talk to the Backcountry office if interested in doing your own trip this way. For us, it was an incredible three days in the canyon, romping through big whitewater, and canyoneering in side canyons.
