The northeast is getting a pretty heavy storm. But, Buffalo is seeing several days of continued snow, along with high winds. Were all hunkered down in our homes, and it is illegal (and almost impossible) to drive. So, Xmas eve will not include family visits and the like. Got two more Antiques today. A common 1930s Corbin, and a beautiful Yale from the BR&P railway line. After I show those, Ill pick through a Kasp shrouded shackle padlock I got from Mur-Lock. Strangely, it picks in order of the pins, 1,2,3,4,5")

As promised, here is a guide to my sites and tricks for shopping and estimating safe prices for your antique lock purchases. Links are found in the video (sometimes YT does not like descriptions with links). From the section on tips to avoid bad purchases.Look for these red flags:
* Shutter opens on its own (no spring)
* Bulging or Misshaped Pins
* Holes in the face (vs hole for Clevis)
* Badly Matched Seams
* Mismatched Key Style (warded key on push lock, etc)
* Highly Polished (often to hide rusty internals)
* Shackle Misshapen
* High Priced, claiming RailRoad, but no RR letter markings
* Partway Open, never shown closed
* No Bitting on Key, Decorative Only
* Gold Plates Claiming Famed Origin")
