In 1999, I left a secure job at Tommy Boy Records to start an internet company called Takeoutmusic.com.

We believed the internet was going to change the music business. Twenty-seven years later, music is changing again—and I’m learning how to use AI, data, and new technology to adapt.

Maybe at 56, I’m not really starting over. Maybe reinvention is just who I’ve always been.
