The Stitchess | I Quit Fast Fashion πΏ 5 Year Update @TheStitchess | Uploaded May 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Five years ago (honestly it's closer to six at this point, but five is such a nice, clickable number), I decided to quit buying clothing from fast fashion companies. Cutting out fast fashion whenever possible, living with less, and buying from sustainable and ethical sources when I could has taught me a lot about my relationship with shopping. In this video, I share what was easy for me, what was difficult, and how my thoughts on sustainable fashion has changed over the years. I've discovered that the best, most important aspect of buying clothing is not always necessarily where you shop, but rather that items are purchased with intention, properly cared for, and held onto for as long as possible. That is true "slow fashion".
