So I'm starting a new series to break down what you're actually paying for at every price point — from $150 to $11,000 — using 20+ years of firsthand experience from my family's tannery and our jacket workshop in Istanbul.
I walk through the leathers, the countries, the price tiers, and then I ran the real numbers myself: the leather, the labor, the materials, and what a jacket honestly costs to make before markup.
