Ragnarok Online 3 brings together classic RO elements and modern MMO systems—but not always in the way longtime players might expect.
From the familiar art direction and open-world MVPs to fast job progression, auto-combat, and more active boss mechanics, RO3 has a mix of old and new ideas that could shape how the game feels at launch.
In this video, I share what stood out during my early gameplay experience, including the Archer class, progression to Hunter and Sniper, manual versus auto-combat, mouse controls versus WASD movement, and whether MVP battles still capture the feeling that made Ragnarok memorable.
The version I played was still a test build, so progression speed, systems, and features may still change before release. But even at this stage, there are already a few things worth discussing—especially for players following the latest Ragnarok Online 3 updates and wondering what kind of MMO RO3 is becoming.
