Marvel's Wolverine Early Preview – Everything I Learned
Full Disclosure PlayStation Canada paid for my travel and accommodations to play this early preview.
I PLAYED MARVEL'S WOLVERINE EARLY! After getting hands-on time with Insomniac Games' upcoming Wolverine game, I can finally share my impressions, gameplay details, story reveals, costumes, claws, Easter eggs, characters, and MUCH more.
In this Marvel's Wolverine preview, I'm breaking down everything I learned from my hands-on play session, including the gameplay, combat system, story, Team X, Wolverine's costumes, customizable claws, Nightmare Doors, Techniques, Adaptations, Easter eggs, and some HUGE surprises involving characters like Sabretooth, Mystique, Omega Red, Jean Grey, Bolivar Trask, and more.
And yes... I counted the costumes and claws I could see during the preview.
During my play session, I was able to count 27 total suit slots on the costume selection screen and 20 claw variants on the claw selection screen. These numbers are based on what was visible during the preview and are NOT confirmation of the final total number of costumes or claws in the finished game.
I also got to experience a significant portion of Act 1, including the opening Team X mission in Telum Bang, the Trask outpost, the encounter involving Omega Red, the Sentinel Prototype boss fight, the Princess Bar, Nightmare Doors, and the chase through Madripoor involving the Hand.

🎮 MARVEL'S WOLVERINE
Marvel's Wolverine is a single-player action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is built specifically for PlayStation 5 and launches September 15, 2026.
The game follows Logan/Wolverine as he joins Team X and confronts a dark threat involving Bolivar Trask, mutants, and his forgotten past. The adventure takes Wolverine across locations including Madripoor, Canada, and Tokyo.
