In this project I rescue an old wooden chest that had been sitting forgotten in a shed and transform it into a colourful piece of furniture art using chalk paint and a homemade potato stamp.
While clearing out bags of old bits and pieces during our house move, I also discovered a beautiful piece of fabric that had been hiding at the bottom of a junk bag. Instead of buying new supplies, I challenged myself to create a furniture makeover using only what I already had.
This DIY furniture project uses:
• a rescued wooden chest
• chalk paint
• a piece of forgotten fabric
• and a potato used as a stamp
