~ Explanation: ~

OverDroid is an undertale AU that I created when I was around 12.

It was originally named AstroTale but I decided to rename it to OverDroid due to the name being already taken.

OverDriod is inspired by the movie Astroboy, I had just recently watched it back then and decided to create an AU about it.

Everyone are humans here, there's no monsters, but magic does exist. Their unique eyes and hair colors are proof of that.

But the only thing is is that they don't use the said magic they have. In fact, most of them have completely forgotten about it, except for a couple few.


~ Prologue: ~

Ebbot City is located near Mt. Ebbot, a strange place where strange things often happen.
Dr. W.D Gaster, is a scientist who lives in Ebbot City. He has a wife named Arial who works as a police officer, and 2 sons, Sans & Papyrus.

Sans is the oldest, he dreams to be a scientist like their father. While Papyrus, who was the youngest, wants to be a police officer like their mom.

They lived happily there despite the two adults' being too busy with their jobs.

Due to their parents always being busy, Sans is the one who fetches Papyrus from school.


One day, Sans gets into an accident while saving Papyrus, and he inevitably dies.

Gaster, in his grief, creates an android who was meant to replace Sans. However, there was a complication, and instead of having a human like appearance, the droid looked more like a skeleton.
Despite this, Gaster was okay with it.

Arial didn't take the idea of her son being replaced with a metal machine very well, and she ends up getting into a fight with Gaster. The two get divorced, and Papyrus goes to live with his mother.

After 3 years, Gaster deactivates Sans and leaves him in the basement of the house. Then he leaves Ebbot City, never to be heard of ever again.


30 years later, one of the Dreamurr twins, Chara and Frisk, find the old abandoned house where Sans resides.
And that's where the story finally begins.


~ Additional Info: ~

Sans’s power source is actually a small prototype version of the core that Gaster created.
Despite being small, it holds a lot of power and can even be used to power cities for hundreds of years before losing it's magic.

It can also be used to bring machines back to life despite them being severely damaged. But be warned, Sans’s core may be powerful, but it isn't unlimited.

Sans doesn't have a SOUL. And he's not possessed by the previous Sans.

I might make more stuff for this AU, but it won't be often.
