Suikoden STAR LEAP First Playthrough – Part 4!
In this episode, I take a short break at the beginning of this part and address some of the criticism surrounding Suikoden STAR LEAP and its gacha system.
One of the criticisms I've seen is that people who support or play Suikoden STAR LEAP are somehow immoral because they are supporting a gacha game. While I understand where that criticism comes from, I don't necessarily agree with the idea that playing a gacha game automatically makes someone a bad person.
I'm not going to pretend I love gacha games either. I have plenty of criticisms of the gacha model myself, and I completely understand why people dislike gacha games even when they're relatively F2P-friendly.
However, there's another side to this for me: I simply love the Suikoden series more than I hate gacha games.
Suikoden is a series that means a lot to me, and getting the opportunity to experience a brand-new Suikoden game after so many years is something I didn't want to pass up. That doesn't mean I have to love every aspect of STAR LEAP or agree with everything about its monetization.
So in this episode, I talk about the criticism surrounding gacha games, free-to-play players, Suikoden STAR LEAP, and the idea that playing or supporting a gacha game is immoral.
This is still my first playthrough of Suikoden STAR LEAP, so after discussing the controversy, we continue our journey through the game and see what else this new Suikoden adventure has in store.
